These little guys always seem to be broken which can let your adjusting stars move!!
The dirtiest place on your VW is always going to be inside your brake drum. They get really hot - they get really cold, they get wet, they get dry, they're loaded full of dust from your brake shoes, salt and sand from the road, and if you let your VW sit you'll probably get some spider nests in there just for giggles. The environment inside your drum is ripe for rot and rust which usually will freeze your adjusting screws and break the leaf springs that keep your adjusting stars in place. The leaf springs are an important part to have and tough to find since VW discontinued them years ago - but no longer! These are brand new leak springs that are sprung steel just like the originals. Usually the original leaf springs were peened in place and many times you can knock what's left of the old part out and work the new one into position and give it a slight peen to hold it tight. Or - you can always drill a hole and screw these in. Heck - we've had some people JB Weld them in place with decent results. This auction is for 2 of the leaf springs - enough for two backing plates. There were different styles of leaf springs but we list the applications below.

One leaf spring is used per brake backing plate - this auction is for two leaf springs so it's enough for two backing plates. If your application used these on the front and rear and you want enough for them all you need to buy two auctions!!

These are a raw sprung steel so they will have some surface rust on them - this is completely normal and does not affect it's operation.
