This mini-badge lapel pin was issued for Michael Cain, Sheriff of Yadkin County, North Carolina
Cain served as Sheriff from 1998 until his resignation in 2011 after being convicted of using county money to buy Harley Davidson motorcycles for himself and two subordinate officers
The pin is a six pointed star in a circle that is 1" in diameter
The pin is in the used condition shown in the photos, which are part of the description. There is some plate loss in the circle at upper left, and some discoloration of the upper left star point, as shown in close up
