The N.S. Meyer Company of New York City was one of America's foremost insignia makers until it folded over 20 years ago. In addition to the U.S. government, N.S. Meyer contracted with many foreign governments within the Western Hemisphere for their insignia needs. These items are NEW old stock cleared from the factory when it was liquidated. All are over 60 years old, still on their maker cards, and are UNUSED. They are as bright and pretty as the day they were made! These were difficult to photograph as they are still very shiny with their heavy nickel plating.
This one is 2" tall and it comes with its screw back fastener. This one does not have the N.S. Meyer hallmark stamped on the reverse.  This badge with SUPERVISOR on it is an obsolete title and it was worn by detective supervisors who had to dress up in uniform for parades and other occasions.
