Two graphite plates cut on angle to provide a very smooth work surface. Either use the plates as they are directly on your table or workbench. Take 4 bricks or other materials to raise the work surface up as they are intended, to provide an elevated work surface directly in front of your torch. Bring your work surface up to a comfortable work height at your torch. The bricks to lift the plates are
not
included to reduce cost and especially to reduce shipping weights.
Graphite Saw cut to 9" Wide and 11-3/4" Long at the tip of the angle
The top and bottom surface are sanded, then to really finish the surface, the top has polished with a super fine grit paper. (The picture does no justice to how smooth this surface is for working glass)
Place this graphite on either standard bricks or other suitable material to elevate your work surface up to a comfortable level in front of your torch.
The two halves fit together to form a nice even elevated work surface to arrange the mandrel steady rest, rod warmers, glass rods, other tools  and still have an area to work glass
Please note;
This item includes both halves as pictured in the first photo forming a slight V. The additional tools included in the other photos and bricks to raise the platform are for reference only and not included with this item.
The "Mother Board" was designed by Hillside Gardens Art Studio.
Our machinists are encouraged to initial their work in a discrete nonfunctional area of the graphite, something we don't normally get to do in our regular custom machined parts. Great for glass blowing, molds, and precious metals molds, etc.
