Description
Are you looking for a genuine touch of history? This is your lucky day.Add a rare Architectural touch to your home or business with these
gorgeous Metal Clad (Kalamein) doors
carefully salvaged from a Historic Commercial Office Building in the Downtown Los Angeles business district. These fantastic Kalamein doors boast Old World Craftsmanship and details that are rarely seen today and were dedicated to access the building’s stairwells. These amazing doors date back to the 1940s and beautifully showcases an intact Chickenwire Glass Panel.
The charm of these antique glass doors come from their imperfections including bubbles and the slight variations in transparency which are not easily replicated today. The doors have multiple coats of paint from decades of use but can easily be stripped and cleaned for a full metal Industrial look (refer to photos); repainted to match your decor; or lightly sanded in strategic areas and sealed for the ultimate Antique/Vintage look. Whatever your restoration project, this door would be the perfect accent to a building facade, entryway, office, pantry or atrium.
These doors are in lovely Vintage condition with the expected wear & imperfections for doors their age and come replete with the original jamb, casing and hardware. Please see our other door listings as we have several of these and other Antique doors salvaged from the same building.
