. Car 25 is painted to represent one of several San Francisco historic cable car liveries; in this case, the red 25 (except for the cream
letterboard on the side
) represents the United Railroads period from 1905 to 1907 (including the Earthquake). In the background, fog still shrouds the Golden Gate Bridge, but the top of one of the towers is peeking out above the fog.
