Old Tiger Oak Spanish Interior Door Arts And Crafts Craftsman style This is a very pretty interior door. The door is very solid and heavy and appears to be in overall good condition I didn’t notice a few scratches and put appears to be a separation in the panel on the top and bottom but nothing major also on the interior side of the door it looks as though they have removed the cross panel which divided the top and bottom panels making it a single panel on one side. from a home that was built in 1901 by a famous architect Joseph Cather Newsom prolific designer and builder of late-C19 . At the beginning (1878) he was building in the Eastlake or Stick style, then they turned to Colonial Queen Anne, boarded gables, gouty colonnettes and extreme ornamentation in what can only be described as an exuberant free style. then a flirtation with the Colonial Revival or Shingle style, the château style, the Georgian Colonial Revival, and Beaux-Arts Classicism. Later he turned to regional Mission Revival (based on Spanish Colonial architecture) and around 1900 to the Arts-and-Crafts style. Whatever style used, it was never guilty of restrain
