~ MAGNIFICENT ANTIQUE CARVED OAK DOUBLE ENTRANCE FRENCH DOORS ~ 60 X 107 SALVAGE

These magnificent doors were salvaged from a demolished Wisconsin mansion.
They are made of oak with a dark stain and varnish outside and natural finish inside.
The fronts are incredible!
The top of each has a glass opening, no glass.
Below are raised panels, carved panels and everything is framed in heavy ornate raised molding with Eastlake beveled edges.
The insides have raised panels and are not as ornate.
All the original ornate brass hardware is present and in good working order.
They measure almost 60 wide together, 106.75 tall and almost 2.5 inches thick.
Overall they are in good condition.  There are misc. scratches and dings as they are antique. They could use a good cleaning.
The glass stop moldings are missing. A deadbolt was added. One of the doors has a bend, it is not completely straight. I'm not sure if this is something a carpenter can remedy. The previous owners cut a piece of wood to compensate for the curve and added it to the edge of the door to prevent drafts. Please look at the pictures carefully.

My salvage business was born of necessity in 1993 when I started restoring an old Victorian home that had seen better days. I needed doors, staircase parts, fireplace mantles and more, so I contacted the owners of a few local buildings that were scheduled for demolition. I found and purchased all of the things that I needed for my project and lots of extra treasures which I eventually resold. 17 years later this is still my full time job!
