Description
Etched Glass Parlor Doors 97x63 Two Doors At 97x 31.5 This is a beautiful pair of old parlor doors. I am led to believe that these doors are well over 100 years of age. Each featuring a beautiful etched glass bouquet with what appears to possibly be a pair of old sea dolphins . There’s a lot of work that went into making these doors. The etching itself Is very deepset giving great depth to the detail The bouquets themselves contain such detail that the pictures truly do not do them justice . There was a third door that has the same border but does not completely match the subject matter. I can tell by the hinges that there was a third door at one time as well as the front of the door marked three-piece but the door that was used with them did not appear to be a 100% match even the paint was a slightly different shade . We did include the third door in the photos to show but it is not being sold in the set. The third door is available for purchase . There is some damage to the right door with the separation of the panel as well as some damage to the wood on the bottom which looks to be where a lock was installed on the inside bottom of the door to keep it stationary by the others function. These doors would truly be worth restoring or even to use the glass alone. This auction is for two doors with athird door available for purchase separately.
