Civil War Identification Disc Edwin Northrop 1st Regiment R. I. Light Artillery

Non dug Union Civil War Identification disc. It has the profile of George Washington surrounded by a ring of stars and Union on one side. The other side has EDWIN NORTROP 1 REG. LIGHT ART. RIV. ENT'D . SER. AUG. 25. 1862 EMILY. A. NORTHROP punched into it. This disc has the most killer uncleaned mellow patina ever. It is a great looking id disc. I love how Edwin put his wife's name on the disc so if he died or was killed they knew who to contact. This id disc measures 31.5 mm in diameter.

He was Mustered Out on 6/28/1865 at Providence, RI Other Information: born in Fishkill, NY Member of GAR Post # 146 (General Lawton) in Lawrence, MA
