This is a PHOTO CD containing 119 color images from slides of freight cars and cabooses of the Central of Georgia Rwy. These photos were taken from the late 1950s until the early 1990s.
See many assorted freight cars and cabooses from the interesting roster of equipment as operated by the Central of Georgia Railway.
Models represented include: Wood Chip Cars, Twin & Triple Covered Hoppers, Cross Tie Car, Bulkhead Cars, Ballast Car, 65' Gondolas, 86' Hi-Cube Cars, Ventilated Box Cars, 40' & 50' 1-1/2 Door Box Cars, 50' "Football" Box Cars, 40' & 50' Box Cars, 40' & 50' Pulpwood Cars, 50' Cushion Underframe Box Cars, Twin & Triple Hopper Cars, Outside Braced 40' Box Car, 50' Insulated Box Car, 40' Roof-Hatch Box Car, Plywood Cupola Cabooses, and Bay-Window Cabooses. Also shown is the CofGA Office Building in the yard at Albany, GA, and a view of the yard at Ocean Terminal in Savannah, GA.
The images are presented in JPEG format and are compatible with Macs and PCs. The CDs are also playable on many recent DVD players.
Image resolution is 200 ppi and the image width is 2000 pixels. The images have been color and exposure corrected, straightened and centered, and had obvious film defects and dust removed. No extreme cropping or editing has been performed.
