This is 1/2 of a Victorian House Double Door Set. It measures 24 inches wide and 83.5 inches high. It is 1.25 inches thick. The original amber glass measures 12 inches wide by 38.5 inches tall, and has a wispy fern pattern to it. The door has its original 4x4 Ornate cast iron hinges (3) still attached. There are also the upper and lower bolts which are ornate cast iron. (The lower bolt has damage, but could still be used.) The weight of the door is 50 lbs. before packing. It is probably made of Spruce or Fir, and it still has remnants of the original wood graining left on one side.
I've had this door for some time in our brick and mortar store, but it has received little interest. Does anyone out there buy High Victorian anymore? This could easily be adapted for use as an attic door, or on a potting shed, or even used as straight decoration in a house. If I was restoring an old house there is no way I would sell this, but would find some interesting way to incorporate it into the structure.
This door can be shipped by UPS ground, but it could also be picked up if you are in the Western Pennsylvania region.
