    Description

    Description
    This is an amazing dutch door that was salvaged from a Philadelphia Victorian Home.
    It is made of oak and is painted.
    This is an original dutch door, not a standard door that was cut in half.
    The upper has a glass opening (no glass) and the lower has a raised panel, fronts are framed in egg and dart molding.
    Most hardware is missing.
    It measures 42.5
    inches wide by 83.5 inches tall and 2.25 inches thick.
    Overall, it is in fair condition. There are misc. scratches and dings as it is antique. It will need a full restoration. The thick oak veneer is cracked in several places and a couple small pieces are missing. The upper portion is racked, it moves from side to side and will need to be taken apart and rejoined. There are holes from added hardware. The glass stop molding will need to be replaced. The door was screwed together at some point to work as one. Please look at  the pictures carefully.

    About Us
    My salvage business was born of necessity in 1993 when I started restoring an old Victorian home that had seen better days. I needed doors, staircase parts, fireplace mantles and more, so I contacted the owners of a few local buildings that were scheduled for demolition. I found and purchased all of the things that I needed for my project and lots of extra treasures which I eventually resold. 17 years later this is still my full time job!
