    Description

    Description:
Please read entire description before bidding, they need a lot of restoration work.
These wonderful double entrance doors were salvaged from a Reading Pa Victorian.
They are made of pine and are painted.
Each has a glass opening at the top ( both need to be replaced ) with panels below.
The fronts have raised moldings with corner plinths around the glass with shelves below.
There is a flat panel below the glass with scalloped moldings.
The panels at the bottom have moldings forming gothic arches with triangular panels.
Each door has 2 carved corner brackets within the panels.
The backs each have a single flat panel at the bottom.
There are carvings on the astrigal but they are hard to make out because of paint.
Most hardware will need to be replaced.
They measure 47.5 inches wide together, 92.5 tall, and 2 inches thick.
Overall they are in fair condition. There are misc. scratches and dings as they are antique. There are 2 holes from dead bolts and a mail slot. There are missing moldings around the glass. The left door has some wiggle in the inner stile. This door also has wood loss at the top and bottom, they were kicked in and the mortice bolts held but the wood splintered and broke. There is no water or termite damage but a skilled carpenter will need to spend some time getting them restored, well worth the effort for such unique doors.
Please look at the pictures carefully.

    Terms of Sale
I accept returns only if my description is inaccurate. For example, if I pull an item from a building that I believe to be original to the house and it is later discovered to be a reproduction, or if I enter an incorrect measurement, I will allow the buyer to return the item. I describe all my items as accurately as possible with descriptions and often pictures of any damage. I try to measure within 1/8 of an inch.
    About Us
My salvage business was born of necessity in 1993 when I started restoring an old Victorian home that had seen better days. I needed doors, staircase parts, fireplace mantles and more, so I contacted the owners of a few local buildings that were scheduled for demolition. I found and purchased all of the things that I needed for my project and lots of extra treasures which I eventually resold. 17 years later this is still my full time job! I salvage whatever I can think can be reused as long as there is room in my warehouse. The warehouse is open for treasure hunting anytime by appointment. Just contact me to schedule a day and time! Thanks for visiting.  Steve and Michelle
