  • Condition: This beautiful old growth fir wood door is from France or Belgium and dates to around 1900, possibly earlier. It was originally painted and the paint was recently stripped and the door was then sanded. It is beautifully made and flat and not warped in any way. Note the fine craftsmanship in the panels, trim and other details. It is in very good antique condition with a handful of minor chips and scratches as would be expected. Note the minor separations where the wood has shrunk slightly with age (see photos). There is no woodworm or dry rot damage whatsoever. The latch and latch mechanism appear to be complete but there is no door handle. Dimensions: 32.5" wide, 84" tall and 1.35" thick. It weighs 50 lbs.
