antique, interior doors salvaged from an old home in Northeastern PA.
The doors are made of solid Douglas Fir or pine and
are
painted on both sides.
The doors have a traditional, Colonial style six panel design.
When most people hear "pine" they think of a cheap, weak, soft   wood. New pine hewn from 10 - 20 year old trees don't have the same insect-resistant, rot-resistant, or even fire-resistant  qualities that  old pine, hewn from trees hundreds of years old  have. Old pine is also much harder and stronger than young pine

Hardware
:
The doors are not equipped with any hardware. However, we have a good  selection of hardware to outfit them (check out our eBay store).

Quirks & Considerations
:
The height of Doors #1 and #2 were  unevenly cut by 1/4". The height of Door#5 was unevenly cut by 1" and the height  of Door#6 by 1/2". The width of Doors #2, #3 and #5 were unevenly cut by 1/4".  The cuts were
most likely made to compensate for the home's settling foundation or a warped  floor. We  could cut any door to an even height/width, cut it/them narrower  and/or shorter, or even build it up to make it bigger

On Door#2
Someone  added a strip of wood to the top of the door to make it taller. It could be left  on to keep the door’s current height, or easily removed. We could remove the  strip of wood

On Door#2
There are two (1/4") gaps, one between the top rail  and the hinge stile and one between the lock stile and the upper cross rail.  There is one (1/8") gap between the bottom cross rail and the exterior hinge  stile. These are not  serious issues and the door could still be installed  and used for decades without the gaps widening. However, we could close the gaps  using clamps and modern glue and some dowels (wooden joints)--message us for a  quote.
Condition
:
All the doors are strong, sturdy, and in great structural condition. They only have nicks,  scrapes, and  scratches, but no breaks, deep cracks, rot, warp, or any other serious issues. The only damage is on Doors #1, #2, #3 and #7. Door#1 has a break on the top corner of the interior lock stile and a break on the bottom corner of the exterior lock stile (See 4th photo). Door#3 has a big break on the lock housing and a break on the top corner of the exterior lock stile. Door#7 has a break on the bottom corner of the exterior lock stile and a cut on the bottom corner of the exterior hinge stile (Message us for photos of the damage). Most of the blemishes that the doors have
will disappear after sanding, prior to refinishing or repainting, and whatever remains will be subtle, "character marks".

:
We could refinish or   partially or completely strip the door(s) to prepare it/them for you to repaint or   refinish.

:
Do you want to make a pair using 2 of these doors? Do you want to replace the panels with glass, screen/mesh, or something else? We could modify the doors to fit your opening or suite your needs. We could make a frame, trim or add to the height or width, reverse the swing, plug the hardware holes, etc. Email us with a small description of what you would like done, and we'll give you a quote.
