Handsome

antique,  interior doors salvaged from an old home in Northeastern Pennsylvania.
The doors are made of solid Douglas Fir or pine and
are
stained and finished (not painted).
The doors have a traditional,  Arts & Crafts style single panel design.
When most people hear "pine" they think of a cheap,  weak,   soft wood. New pine hewn from 10 - 20 year  old trees don't have the same   insect-resistant, rot-resistant, or even  fire-resistant qualities   that old pine, hewn from trees hundreds  of years old have. Old pine is also   much  harder and stronger than  young  pine.

None  of the doors are equipped with hardware

e have a good selection of period hardware in our eBay store, and tons more in our physical store.
* If you would like small recesses for the pulls plugged with solid wood, email us for a quote.
Condition
:
All  doors are strong, sturdy, and in excellent condition. They only have nicks,  scrapes, and  scratches, but no breaks, deep cracks, rot, warp, or any other serious issues.  We made the door in the worst condition #1 (the one in the first 4 photos) to  give you an idea of how well maintained these doors were kept. Door#1 has some  superficial, tight cracks in its top rail that are just cosmetic blemishes and  not structural threats. Most of the blemishes that the doors have
will disappear after sanding, prior to refinishing or repainting, and whatever remains will be subtle, "character marks."
Refinish/Repaint
:
We could refinish, repaint, or partially or completely strip the doors to prepare it for you to repaint or refinish.

Swing
:
Doors#1,  2, 5, 6, & 8  are set up to swing into a room towards the left, or away from the  room  towards the right; Doors#3, 4, & 7  swings in the opposite  direction. We could change the  swing of any door--

Modification
:
Do you want to make a pair using 2 of these doors? Do you want to replace the panels with glass, screen/mesh, or something else? We could modify the doors to fit your opening or suite your needs. We could make a frame, trim or add to the height or width, reverse the swing, plug the hardware holes, etc. Email us with a small description of what you would like done, and we'll give you a quote.
