  • Condition: salvaged from an old home in New York City. The doors are made of solid Douglas Fir and are painted white on both sides. Each door has an impressive arrangement of 15, true-divided windows. One window has no glass, 4 have newer replacement glass, and 25 have intact, original, wavy glass. We could add glass and also replace the 4 newer lites with old wavy glass. One door has a mortise lock and the other door is equipped with its original, internal slide bolts, and strike plate. The lock and slide bolts function very well. The doors still need a pair of knobs and plates, and 4 - 6 hinges. The doors are strong, sturdy and in great excellent condition. They have the typical scrapes, scratches, and small nail holes that you would expect to find on an old, used door. However, there are no breaks, cracks, gouges, rot, or warp. The small blemishes they have will disappear or diminish drastically after stripping and sanding.The 29 glass lites are in great conditi*FULL DESCRIPTION BELOW*

    Handsome pair  of
    antique  double doors
    salvaged from an old home in New York City. The doors are  made of solid Douglas Fir and are painted white on both  sides.
    Each door

    Hardware
    :

    Quirks &  Considerations
    :
    The doors were originally 30" but were cut narrower. If you need  to fill a 60"W opening, we could build the doors back up to  original size or bigger

    The width and height of one of the doors was uneven
    ly  cut by 1/2" - 3/4" and the other door's height was unevenly cut  by 1/4" The cuts were most likely to compensate for an old  warped floor or settling foundation. We could  cut each to an  even size, cut it shorter/narrower, or even build it up to  make  it taller/wider

    Condition

    The doors
    are strong
