The door is made of solid Douglas Fir or white pine and is painted a peach color. The glass surface is old and uneven so it distorts reflected images making them look "wavy" or bent out of shape. No hardware included. The door is in fantastic condition! It has the typical scrapes, scratches, and small nail holes that you would expect to find on an old, used door. These blemishes will disappear or diminish drastically after stripping and sanding. There are no breaks, cracks, gouges, rot, or warp.     Beautiful
    , antique door salvaged from an old home in Northeastern PA. The door is made of solid Douglas Fir or white pine and is painted  a peach color.
    Today, "pine" is known as a cheap, weak, soft wood. New pine   hewn from 10 - 20 year old trees doesn't have the  same insect-resistant, rot-resistant, or even fire-resistant qualities that  old pine, hewn from trees hundreds of years old has. Old pine is also much  harder and stronger than young  pine.
    It has a window with clear, old, wavy glass and 3 raised panels below. The glass  surface is old and uneven so it distorts reflected images making them look  "wavy" or bent out of shape.
    Hardware

    The door is not equipped with any hardware. However, we have a good selection of period hardware to outfit it (check out our eBay store).

    Uneven Height
    :
    The door's height was
    unevenly cut   by 1/4" at some point. The cuts were most likely made to compensate for a settling foundation or an old warped floor. We could cut the door to an even 83 5/8", cut it shorter or narrower, and we could also add wood to it to make  it  taller or wider to fit your opening
