  • Condition: Salvaged from an old home in Northeastern PA. The door is made of solid Douglas Fir or pine and is painted on both sides. No hardware included. The door has a window with a single, wavy glass lite. The door has 1 panel above the glass and 5 panels below the glass. The door is strong, sturdy, and in great structural condition. It only has nicks and scratches, but no broken or cracked joints, gouges, rot, warp, or any other serious issues. The door has 3 dents on the interior edge of the hinge-stile (see last photo). Most of the blemishes that it has will disappear after sanding, prior to refinishing or repainting, and whatever remains will be subtle, "character marks". All of the glass is intact and in great shape with only subtle scratches. The hinge mortises span the thickness of the door, allowing you to define its swing and install your hinges on either side-*FULL DESCRIPTION BELOW*

    Beautiful
    , antique door salvaged from an old home in Northeastern PA. The door is made of solid Douglas Fir or pine and is painted on both sides.
    Today, "pine" is known as a cheap, weak, soft wood. New pine   hewn from 10 - 20 year old trees doesn't have the  same insect-resistant, rot-resistant, or even fire-resistant qualities that  old pine, hewn from trees hundreds of years old has. Old pine is also much  harder and stronger than young  pine.
    The door
    has a window with a single, wavy glass lite. The door has 1 panel above the glass and 5 panels below the glass.
    Hardware

    The door is not equipped with any hardware. However, we have a good selection of period hardware to outfit it (check out our eBay store).
