  • Condition: salvaged from an old home in Northeastern PA. The door was made by, "Morgan Co." of Oshkosh, WI sometime during the middle of the previous century. It's made of either solid Douglas Fir or pine and is unfinished. It has an uncommon arrangement of 6 raised panels on both sides. I've been selling old doors since 2003 and this is only the 2nd or 3rd time I've come across an old door that was bought long time ago, stored, and never used. This is definitely the first door that I've gotten that still has the manufacturer's tag (see last photo)! You not only get the chance to apply the first finish on the door, but you also get to decide where to drill your hardware holes and define the way the door will swing. Since the door was never installed or used, it's in as close to "mint" condition as you could get for an old door. It's strong and sturdy, and has no rot, warp, or any other serious issues. It's ready for a lifetime of service. Dimensions:30 1/4" x 80 5/8" x 1 3/8"

New Old Stock "Morgan" Solid Wood Interior Door
    w/6 Panels
WOW! What a are find! Beautiful, antique, interior door salvaged from an old home in Northeastern PA.
The door was made by, "Morgan Co." of Oshkosh, WI sometime during  the middle of the previous century. It's made of either solid Douglas Fir or pine and  is unfinished. It has an uncommon arrangement of 6 raised panels on both sides.
Today, "pine" is known as a cheap, weak, soft wood. New pine hewn  from 10 - 20  year old trees doesn't have the same insect-resistant, rot-resistant, or even  fire-resistant qualities that old pine, hewn from  trees hundreds of years old  has. Old pine is also much harder and stronger than  young  pine.
