  • Condition: Salvaged from an old home in Northeastern PA. The door has a solid heartpine or Douglas Fir core, veneered with 1/8" thick heartpine veneers. The door is stained and finished. It has a traditional, Arts & Crafts style, single recessed  (flat) panel  design. No hardware included. The door is strong, sturdy, and in great condition. It only has nicks and scratches, but no breaks, cracks, gouges, rot, warp, or any other serious issues. The last photo shows some water damage, but it's only finish-deep. The wood under the ruined stain/finish was unaffected, so it's ready to sand and re-stain or paint. Most of the blemishes that the door has will disappear after sanding, prior to refinishing or repainting, and whatever remains will be subtle, "character marks."  The door is set up to swing into a room towards the left or away towards the right. We could change the swing of the door. Dimensions:30" x 79 1/2" x 1 3/8"

    Antique Solid Wood Interior Door
    w/Single Panel
Handsome, antique, interior door salvaged from an old home in Northeastern PA.
The  door has a solid heartpine or Douglas Fir core, veneered with 1/8" thick  heartpine veneers.
Please don't think that "veneer" means inferior quality. Unlike the   paper-thin veneers used on modern doors and furniture, these veneers are 1/8"   thick and provide strength and stability to the door.
Please note that heartpine is the  non-living,  core of a pine tree, and not the soft, outer, living sap-wood.  Since
it takes  30 years for a pine tree just to develop just 1” of heart  stock
it is rarer,  harder, more durable, more insect & rot resistant, less  susceptible to warping  and twisting, and is much more valuable than the cheap,  pine lumber that is  commonly found at most hardware stores
