    Beautiful
    , antique,  French door
salvaged from an old home in  Northeastern PA.
    T
he  door was original to the home's construction and the home was built  during the first half of the previous century. It's
made  of solid Douglas Fir or pine and i
    s  stained on both sides.
When most people hear "pine" they think of a cheap, weak, soft    wood. New pine hewn from 10 - 20 year old trees don't have  the same insect-resistant, rot-resistant, or even fire-resistant   qualities that  old pine, hewn from trees hundreds of years old   have. Old pine is also much harder and stronger than young pine
    .
    The door
has   an impressive arrangement of 15, intact true-divided windows.
    Hardware
    :
The  door is not equipped with any  hardware. However, we have a good  selection of  period hardware to outfit  it (check out our eBay  store).
    * If you would like any of the hardware holes   plugged with  solid wood, please email us for a quote.

    :
The hinge mortises span  the thickness of the door allowing you to define the swing.
    Condition

However, there are no serious breaks, cracks, gouges, rot, or warp.
The   small blemishes they have will disappear or diminish drastically  after stripping and sanding. (see last photo for worst blemish).
    The 15, intact,
glass  lites are in great condition with only subtle scratches.
