It only has nicks and scratches, but no breaks, cracks, gouges, rot, warp, or any other serious issues. The worst damage on the door is a break on the bottom corner of the interior lock stile (see last photo). Most of the blemishes that it has will disappear after sanding, prior to refinishing or repainting, and whatever remains will be subtle, "character marks". The paint on the door is burnished because it was exposed to flames. Although the house was on fire, the door didn't catch on fire. It's paint melted due to the high heat in the home during the fire and then it bunched up-*FULL DESCRIPTION BELOW*

    Penn Antique Restoration
    30"x77"x1.75"
    Antique
Victorian Entry Door w/  Window & 1 Panel
    Robust
, antique, exterior door salvaged from an old home in Northeastern PA. It's made of solid heartpine.
Please note that heartpine is the non-living, core of a pine  tree, and not the soft, outer, living sap-wood. Since
it takes 30 years for a  pine tree just to develop just 1” of heart stock
it is rarer, harder, more  durable, more insect & rot resistant, less susceptible to warping and twisting,  and is much more valuable than the cheap, pine lumber that is commonly found at  most hardware stores.
There is a window (missing glass) and 1 recessed (flat)
panel below the  window. The molding around the window and panel are raised (applied) on the exterior side of the door--nice feature!
    Hardware
    :
The door is not equipped with  any hardware. However, we have a good selection of period hardware to outfit  it (check out our eBay store).
    * If you would like any of the hardware holes plugged with  solid wood, please email us for a quote.
    Condition
    :
    The door is
strong, sturdy, and in excellent condition. It only has nicks and scratches, but no  breaks, cracks, gouges, rot, warp, or any other serious issues. The worst  damage on the door is a break on the bottom corner of the interior lock stile  (see last photo). Most of the  blemishes that it ha
s will  disappear after sanding, prior to refinishing or repainting, and  whatever  remains will be subtle, "character marks".
The paint on the door is burnished because it was exposed to  flames. Although the house was on fire, the door didn't catch on fire. It's  paint melted due to the high heat in the home during the fire and then it  bunched up when the flames cooled, and the temperature dropped. All of the burnt  paint could be scraped and sanded like any other paint, and the wood underneath  is fresh and will accept stain if you plan on refinishing.
