On the exterior side of the door, the top of the lock stile is chipped.Otherwise, the door is strong, sturdy, and in great shape with only surface scrapes, scratches, small nail holes--minor cosmetic blemishes, which would be removed during the finishing process or covered if painted.The door is currently set up to swing inwards, towards the right.     Antique Interior Door w/ Single  Recessed Panel
    Elegant, antique, interior door  salvaged from an old home in Northeastern Ohio. The door is made of solid pine and has a  single panel on each side. One side is mostly stripped, unpainted and the other  side is painted white.
    When most people hear "pine" they think of a cheap, weak, soft wood. New pine hewn from 10 - 20 year old trees don't have the same insect-resistant, rot-resistant, or even fire-resistant qualities that old pine, hewn from trees hundreds of years old have. Old pine is also much harder and stronger than young pine.
