  • Condition: Salvaged from an old, home in Northeastern PA. The door is made of solid Douglas Fir or Pine, and is stained on both sides. The door has a Victorian style, 5-panel arrangement with 4 vertical panels divided by a small horizontal panel. The panels are raised on both sides. No hardware included. The door is strong, sturdy, and in excellent condition. it only has nicks and scratches, but no breaks, cracks, gouges, rot, warp, or any other serious issues. Most of the blemishes that it has will disappear after sanding, prior to refinishing or repainting, and whatever remains will be subtle, "character marks". The hinge mortises span the thickness of the door allowing you to define the swing. Dimensions: 28" - 28 1/4" x 79 3/4" - 80" x 1 1/8". The door's height and width were unevenly cut by 1/4", the cuts were made most likely to compensate for a warped floor or sagging foundation.     Charming, antique, door salvaged from an old, home in   Northeastern PA. The door

    When most people hear "pine" they think of a cheap, weak, soft   wood. New pine  hewn from 10 - 20 year old trees don't have  the same insect-resistant, rot-resistant, or even fire-resistant  qualities  that  old pine, hewn from trees hundreds of years old  have. Old pine is also  much harder and stronger than young pine
    .
    The door has a Victorian style, 5-panel arrangement with  4 vertical panels divided by a small horizontal panel. The panels are raised on  both sides.
    Hardware

    The door is not equipped with any hardware. However,  we have a good selection of  period hardware to outfit them (check out our eBay  store).
