  • Condition: Handsome, vintage, closet door salvaged from an old, home in Northeastern Pennslyvania. This door was original to the home's construction and the home was built during the first half of the previous century. The door is made of solid Douglas Fir or pine, it has 6 raised panels, and is painted on both sides.The door is strong, sturdy, and in excellent condition. It only has nicks and scratches, but no breaks, cracks, gouges, rot, warp, or any other serious issues. Most of the blemishes that it has will disappear after sanding, prior to refinishing or repainting, and whatever remains will be subtle, "character marks". No hardware included. The door is set up to swing into the room towards the right or away towards the left. We could change the swing of the door--email us for a quote.     Handsome, vintage, closet door salvaged from an old, home in  Northeastern Pennslyvania. This door was original to the home's   construction and the home was built during the first half of the  previous century.
    The  door is made of solid Douglas Fir or pine

    When most people hear "pine" they think of a cheap, weak, soft   wood. New pine hewn from 10 - 20 year old trees don't have the   same insect-resistant, rot-resistant, or even fire-resistant  qualities that  old pine, hewn from trees hundreds of years old  have. Old pine is also much harder and stronger than young pine
    .
