  • Condition: salvaged from an old home in Northeastern PA. It is made of solid Cypress and is completely stained and finished (not painted). No hardware included. The door is strong, sturdy, and in great condition. The worst blemish is small, tight break/crack in the bottom hinge mortise (see last photo). This is simple repair that just requires glue and clamps. Otherwise, the door has no warp, rot, broken or cracked joints, or any serious flaws. Once a door is sanded for a new coat of paint or stripped to refinish, most of the cosmetic blemishes would be removed. What remains will be covered by paint or stain, and only appear as a "character mark."     Antique Cypress Interior Door
    w/5 Panels
    Handsome, interior door salvaged from an old home in  Northeastern PA. It is made of solid Cypress and is completely stained and finished (not painted). It has 5 raised  panels on both sides.
    If you're not familiar with  cypress, it's considered a soft wood, but it's   quite durable and rot-resistant.  It is very popular in the South because it   could stand up to the high humidity.
    Hardware

    The door is  not equipped with any hardware
    . However, w
    e have a good selection of period hardware in our eBay store, and tons more in our physical store.

    Condition
    :
