Pair of Antique Tri-Fold Carriage House Doors w/Glass, Panels, & Hardware
Wow, what a rare opportunity! These grand, antique, exterior doors were salvaged  from an old farm in Central Iowa. Each door is made of solid pine  or Douglas Fir and has a single window and 4 raised  panels on each side. Notice the chamfered edges and lark's tongue corners around  the panels--what great Victorian accents!
Hardware
:
The doors are equipped with their original hardware. The only parts that are missing are 2 keepers or receiver plates for the locks, 5 out of the 6 mounting plates for the long strap hinges on the outer 2 doors, and a couple of hinge pins. Although most parts are intact and functional, the 3 lower flushbolts are inoperable and the knuckles of one of the exterior hinges broke. We have some hardware to replace the missing and broken parts that could be purchased separately.

Condition
:
(See photos) The beauty and quality of these doors are only equaled by their  impressive condition. There are a few easily repaired flaws like surface or  shallow cracks and thin pieces which broke off. There is also some small breaks  in the corner and bottom edges of 2 doors.
All of the joints are still tight and strong, and there is  absolutely no wobble or looseness anywhere. These doors were built like a rock  and made to last for several lifetimes.
The main reason that these doors are in such fine condition is  because they were removed and stored in a barn since the middle of the previous  century.
We have worked with doors in much, MUCH worse condition and  were able to restore them and they are now installed in a beautiful home on  Martha's Vineyard (see last photos). Please email us with a small  description of what you would like done, and we'll give you a quote.
