Handsome, antique, closet doors salvaged from an old, home  in Northeastern New Jersey. These doors were original to the home's construction  and the home was built during the first half of the previous century.
The doors are made of solid Douglas Fir or pine, and they are
    painted  on both sides
    .
When most people hear "pine" they think of a cheap, weak, soft  wood. New pine hewn from 10 - 20 year old trees don't have the  same insect-resistant, rot-resistant, or even fire-resistant qualities that  old pine, hewn from trees hundreds of years old have. Old pine is also much  harder   and stronger than young pine.
    Hardware
    :
Neither  door is equipped with any hardware
    .  However, w
e  have a good selection of period hardware in our eBay store, and tons more in our  physical store.
