This listing is for a Brand New 1935-1940 Ford car power brake booster assembly.  This includes BLACK bracket and pedal assembly with Round Pad designed for the 1935 1936 1937 1938 1939 1940 Ford car or 1935-1941 Ford truck. This pedal is designed to bolt to the original spot on the frame underneath the floor.
Also included is a high quality 7" booster a
nd master cylinder combo & the valves necessary for a disc disc setup
.
The Corvette style master cylinder has a 1" bore and four ports (two on each side) for easier installation. Includes plugs for the ports you don't use.
This kit comes with the 7" single diaphragm brake booster.  The 7" single booster is usually enough to safely stop any 1935-40 Ford car or truck.
Finally this comes with a complete Disc/Drum proportioning and residual valve kit with Side Bracket and Lines.
This includes a brand new GM style Disc/Drum proportioning valve.  This valve has a zinc coated finish.  This valve is also called a combination valve, as it performs all of the necessary valving functions with a disc brake conversion.  These functions include the following:
Proportioning:
As more force is applied to the brakes and the car begins to lean forward, less braking force is needed in the rear.  This valve decreases the pressure to the rear, preventing lock up.
Metering:
Metering is used in the front disk brake portion in the disc/drum system to delay application of the front discs allowing the slower reacting drum brakes to catch up.  This provides rear stability on wet surfaces and helps prevent front pad wear.  There is no metering function with the disc/disc setup.
Residual Pressure:
Drum Brakes require residual pressure of 10 lbs. to be held in the line.  This pressure keeps the brake shoes close to the drums giving you a more firm pedal feel.  The disc/disc setup does not require this pressure.
System Failure Switch:
This valve has a system failure switch that will alert you when half of your braking system is not working properly.
Also included is a 2 pound residual valve for the front discs and a 10 pound residual valve for the rear drum brakes.  These residuals prevent loss of brake pressure.  They run in-line and act as a one way check valve and prevent fluid from bleeding back to the master cylinder.
These valves are a MUST when mounting your master cylinder under the floor.
