This auction is for:
1878 Mobile and Ohio Railroad Company Certificate of Deposit
Early line, organized in 1848 by the states of Alabama, Kentucky, Mississippi and Tennessee. It ran from the Mobile seaport along the Ohio River to Cairo, Illinois. In 1940 it was merged with the Gulf, Mobile and Northern Railroad. Odd certificate recording various claims made to the railroad. Has a great train vignette at top and is hand-signed and includes a record of the claims, all hand-written in. Large certificate, measures 13 x 15 inches. A unique find from this early line!

Shipping within the U.S. is by USPS First Class Mail (.00 for packages weighing 13 ounces or less) – shipping for packages weighing over 13 ounces will be shown on your invoice. If another shipping method is requested, a revised invoice will be sent.
