  • Condition: This elegant old growth fir wood door set is from France or Belgium and dates to around 1900, possibly earlier. The doors were painted and the paint was recently stripped and the doors were then sanded. They are beautifully made and are flat and not warped in any way. Note the fine craftsmanship in the panels, trim and other details. Both doors are in very good antique condition with a handful of minor chips and scratches as would be expected. There is no woodworm or dry rot damage whatsoever. The latch and latch mechanism appear to be complete but there are no door handles. Note the cracks in the flat panels and wood patches (see photos). Dimensions: The door set is 56" wide (each door is 28" wide), 101" tall and 1.5" thick (2" thick at the framed edges). The set weighs 146 lbs.
