  • Condition: This massive old growth oak wood door set is from France and dates to the mid/late 1800's. The doors are high quality, finely made and are flat and not warped in any way. Note the fine craftsmanship in the panels, trim and other details. They are completely solid (not hollow core) and very heavy. All pieces are in good antique condition with typical chips and scratches as would be expected after 100+ years of use as exterior doors. As you can see they will need refinishing to be perfect. There is some water damage along the bottom edges that is probably best solved by removing about an inch of wood from the bottom edges. They have had several sets of hardware over the years and will need new locks and lock cover plates. The transom presently has no glass. Dimensions: The double door (without transom or frame) is 10' high, 8' wide and 2" thick. The total height (with the transom) is 13' 7".The total width (including the frame) is 8' 7".
